Solskjaer: We're banking on Sanchez to come good here

The Manchester United forward has endured a hard 19 months at Old Trafford since his transfer from Arsenal at the start of 2018.

It's added that Sanchez spoke with both Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and club officials of his desire to leave the Red Devils after falling down the pecking order under the Norwegian.

Inter are expected to have the option to make the 30-year-old's stay permanent at the end of his season-long loan.

Sanchez's representatives are now in Manchester trying to find an agreement between Inter and United.

Alexis Sanchez's agent is in the United Kingdom holding talks on behalf of the player over the possible transfer move for the Chilean worldwide.

"Good teams I played in we always had a strong base, a keeper, settled backline and we hope to provide that for our attackers and midfielders".

"It's these stories again that he's been put in the reserves and all this - of course he hasn't".

"He'll be gradually integrated into more and more playing time but we'll have more behind closed-doors games because with one game a week now it's hard to keep everyone ticking". But his Old Trafford nightmare may soon be over.

"There were some players not involved in the last game and they want to prove a point". "You can't avoid that you are winning already, 7-0 on aggregate, so maybe you feel more freedom to try things, but I think that kind of situation can happen in every moment in every game".

The France worldwide reclaimed the number nine shirt this season following Romelu Lukaku's exit and he impressed through the middle in last weekend's 4-0 win against Chelsea, scoring the second of his side's goals.

"Chelsea outran us quite a lot in April, three games ago, now we've outrun them, so that's a good shift for us".

Greenwood is yet to score a competitive goal for United, but Solskjaer said he has seen enough during preseason and in training to believe that the 17-year-old is the best natural goalscorer at Old Trafford.
