You'll also now be able to pair your Fire TV with your Amazon Echo to control your TV throughout the room with voice commands.

The latter models will give you access to all Alexa's usual tricks but also the ability to turn the power on and off, change channels and adjust volume via voice, thanks to far-field mics built in to the TV.

The expanded Fire TV lineup will all arrive just in time for the all-important holiday shopping, and with expanded availability in more countries, Amazon looks poised to continue its push into more living rooms and on more TVs.

And of course you can summon Alexa, allowing you to control the device (plus your soundbar, TVs, A/V receiver and cable or satellite box) with your voice - although a physical remote is also included.

The new Fire TV Cube became available for preorder in the United States, Canada, the U.K. and Germany Wednesday, and is coming to Japan in November.

The new device supports 4K Ultra HD, a unified smart TV user interface, near-field Alexa voice control, Dolby Vision pass-through, and more.

"This marks the biggest announcement for Fire TV to date, with more than 20 new Fire TV products available across North America and Europe", Amazon Fire TV vice president Marc Whitten said as part of the announcement at IFA. Naturally, since it runs the Fire TV software, you get all the stuff that you'd get on a Fire TV box - stuff like Alexa voice controls and the "world class smart system" that's totally not biased towards Amazon services in any way. The soundbar acts and functions as a normal soundbar, improving your TV's audio, but also have Fire TV support built into it.

The new Fire TV Cube is available for pre-order in the USA for $119.99, in Canada for $149.99, the United Kingdom for £109.99, Germany for €119.99, and Japan for ¥14980.

You can preorder the Anker Nebula Fire TV Edition sound bar right now, and it will begin shipping November 21.

Specifically in the UK, Fire TV is teaming up with Dixons Carphone to sell Fire TV Edition smart TVs though its JVC brand. They come in 40-inch, 49-inch and 55-inch screen varieties.

Amazon partnered with prolific accessory maker Anker to create the Nebula Soundbar Fire TV Edition.

The Nebula Soundbar - Fire TV Edition will be available in the UK, US, Canada and Germany when it starts to ship on the 21st October.

In the U.S., Amazon and Best Buy announced the first 65-inch Toshiba - Fire TV Edition smart TV with Dolby Vision, which will be available for customers in the United States next month for $599.
